A Bat Cave in Scottsdale?
Carlsbad Tavern isn’t in Carlsbad, but in Scottsdale, Arizona. It’s a fabulous New Mexican-style restaurant incorporating the best parts of New Mexico’s culinary traditional cuisine including hatch chili, chipotle chili and blue corn. The theme of the interior d ©cor is like the Carlsbad Bat Cave with a fountain; the exterior is a representation of Guano Canal with a waterfall on the patio. With 12-years of being in business, this eatery keeps adding to the d ©cor with every passing year, so much so, Carlsbad has been transformed into a place all ages can be comfortable in and in a multitude of different environments to please any family member.
The kitchen serves up an excellent menu such as the Blue Corn Enchiladas or the fiesta Rellenos made with roasted Poblano chilies stuffed with saut ©ed vegetables, feta cheese and more chilies. Most of the dishes are spicy hot for those seeking truly authentic New Mexico cuisine. The original dishes are still served today due to the consistency of a great recipe, which is due to the pride and desire for excellence from the kitchen all the way to the wait staff. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, everything is good!
Carlsbad Tavern is located at 3313 N. Hayden Road and there are several five star hotels Scottsdale is famous for nearby, some within walking distance. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious. A great place to visit or to impress a client for lunch or dinner, Carlsbad is that good!
