Jumping on the Solar Bandwagon
In the green economy, many jobs are coming as a result of an increase in solar generation of power. This increase is most noticeable in California where a combination of qualified California solar installers and an aggressive rebate program is making it much easier and cost-effective for residents to make the switch from traditional electricity.
You don’t have to live in California to benefit from jumping on the solar bandwagon. Check with your utility company to see if there are similar incentive programs in your area. Even if there aren’t, there will still be considerable financial benefits to switching to solar. Depending on where you live, i.e., how much sunshine you get, you may be able to generate enough power from solar energy to stop using traditional sources of electricity entirely. Some utilities will even buy any extra energy you generate and don’t use, thereby paying you for energy instead of you paying them.
Aside from the financial benefit of never having to pay another electricity bill, there is the good feeling that comes from contributing to the green economy. Not to mention helping reduce dependence on fossil fuels and reducing the amount of pollution generated by traditional power.
